Flagship course
STREETS-WR101 is an interactive Oakland waste literacy certification — not a slide deck. About 60–90 minutes online, optional field practicum, two-year OaklandSTREETS Waste & Recycling Literacy Certificate.
Independence
STREETS Academy is independent civic education. It complements Oakland Recycles and OAK311. It does not replace them, and it is not a City of Oakland system or hauler training program.
Certification gate
Passing the 98th Avenue field simulation at 80/100 is required. Certificate IDs follow STREETS-WR-2026-XXXXX. Public verification is at /academy/verify.
Empty metrics
Live impact figures appear only after deployment produces real training records. Nothing here is a City of Oakland statistic.
